The steps to making Indian style dal tadka recipes are pretty simple.
Ingredients are used in dal recipe:
- 6 cups of water
- 1 and a half cup of Dal (Whole Black Gram)
- 1 and a half cup of Rajma
- 2 medium Tomatoes blanched and chopped
- 5 gms Ginger cut into thin strip
- 6 flakes Garlic chopped
- 2 hole Dry red chilies
- to taste Salt
- half tsp Red Chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- Tempering in Dal
2 tbsp Ghee
1 small Onion chopped
half tsp Red chili powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee

Step by Step to prepare Dal recipe Ma style:
Step 1:
Soaked the Raazamen beans in 1 hour. After 1 hour then drained the water.
Step 2:
Pour 6 cups of Water into a cooker.

Bring to boil on high heat.

Add all ingredients about tempering ingredients. Don't add
Tempering ingredients.

Step 4:
Stir well all once.

Close cooker lead, bring to full pressure on high heat.
Step 5:
Reduce heat and cook while beans get soft.
Step 6:
After cook, the beans remove cooker from heat.
Step 7:
Keep aside and allow to cool down naturally.
Step 8:
Open cooker lead. Partially mash Dal with a back of a ladle.
Step 9:
Place the cooker with dal on low heat, stirring occasionally.
Step 10:
Heat 2 tbsp of Ghee in a pan.
Step 11:
after melt, the Ghee, add 1 small chopped Onion and fry.
Step 12:
Add 5 gms Ginger and continue frying till Onion is golden brown.
Step 13:
Remove pan from heat.
Step 14:
Add half tsp of Red chili powder and pour evenly over Dal.
Serve hot.
