gobi masala Ingredients:


  1. 4 cups of water
  2. 1 medium Cauliflower
  3. 1 tbsp Poppy seeds
  4. 2 tbsp Cashew nuts
  5. 10 gms Ginger
  6. 6 flakes Garlic
  7. 2 Green Chillies
  8. half cup Vegetable oil
  9. 2 large Onion chopped
  10. 2 medium Tomatoes blanched chopped
  11. half tsp Turmeric powder
  12. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  13. half tsp Cumin powder
  14. 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  15. half cup Curd 
  16. 2 tbsp Coriander leaves Chopped
  17. to taste Salt

Preparation of gobi masala / Indian cauliflower recipe

Step 1:

Cut 1 medium Cauliflower into 3-4 cm flowers with 1cm stalks, remaining tender stalks into 1 cm cubes.

Step 2:

In a bowl, add 4 cups water with 2 tsp Salt.

Step 3:

put cut Cauliflower in a bowl and keep about 30 minutes, and drain the water.

Step 3:

Grind together 1 tbsp of Poppy seeds and 2 tbsp of Cashew nuts into a thick paste.

Step 4:

Separately grind together Ginger, Garlic and green chilies into a thick paste.

Step 5:

Heat oil in a wok about 1 minutes.

Step 6:

Add chopped Onion and fry till golden brown.

Step 7:

After then Add 

  • Ginger-Garlic paste 
  • Blanched chopped Tomatoes
  • half tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • half tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • and some Salt to taste

Step 8:

Cook till tomatoes are pulpy, stirring occasionally.

Step 9:

Add a half cup of Curd to the wok slowly, and stir fry till curd is well blended in the mixture. Fry till oil shows separately.

Step 10:

Add Cauliflower, Stir-fry about 5 minutes.

Step 11:

Add 1 cup of Water into the Wok and mix it well.

Step 12:

Close the wok by a lead and cook Cauliflower till to soft and Thick.

Step 13:

After cook Cauliflower nicely, Add Cashew nuts-Puppy seeds paste and cook about 2 minutes.

Step 14:

After that garnishing with some Coriander leaves.
